Unlike many non-stick pans, every piece of Smithey cast iron is completely free of PFOA, PFAS, and PTFE. Instead, we pre-season our cookware with pure grapeseed oil, building a naturally nonstick surface that only gets better with use.

We stand behind the quality of our cast iron and carbon steel cookware. If your cookware is defective, we’ll replace it. If your cookware fails you after honest and normal use, we’ll repair or replace it.

What is the purpose of the three holes on the helper handle of the skillet?

The three holes are a unique identifier that allows a Smithey to stand in a crowd. Reach for it on the range!

What oil do you use to pre-season with?

We use 2-3 coats of pure grape seed oil to pre-season your Smithey with. Seasoning is applied by hand and there are no chemical coatings of any kind applied to your skillet.

What size sleeve fits?

Our standard size leather skillet sleeve is custom fit for your No. 10 skillet.

Smithey No. 10 skillet.

This is my second Smithey cast iron skillet. I also have a No 12 that I use a lot and love it so much I thought I would get a smaller one and the No. 10 was perfect fit. Great skillets with a very classy look and they are built very nice and thick so they will last forever. Best modern cast iron skillets made. Very happy with my Smithey skillets.

Outstanding customer service & product

First #10 arrived with a very small pit in the smooth inside. Called customer service and as soon as they could verify i was returning the #10 (that afternoon) another was shipped to me. No problems.

Received the new one and perfect.

Started with a couple filet mignons and great crust.

I am satisfied.
