Hard time
I have had a hard time getting things to not stick. Did everything they said to season but still not great.
The three holes are a unique identifier that allows a Smithey to stand in a crowd. Reach for it on the range!
We use 2-3 coats of pure grape seed oil to pre-season your Smithey with. Seasoning is applied by hand and there are no chemical coatings of any kind applied to your skillet.

Decided to try the No. 10 skillet and it has not disappointed. Enjoying the ease of use right out of the box. Cooked some veggies in butter and oil to start out as suggested and then went right to eggs. Everything has been delicious and has not stuck to the pan. Very happy with purchase- deciding which one to splurge on next!
Exactly as advertised. Well seasoned, a little touch up with Crisbee Original seasoning after each use keeps the Smithey in excellent condition. Cooked cornbread to scrambled eggs without a sticking!! Best cast iron skillet I have ever used.
I gave it to a friend, I already had my No. 10 with glass lid. I have used mine for some time and it is great.
I finally replaced an inexpensive cast iron 10" skillet. Quality really does make a difference. The Smithy heats more evenly, holds an even temperature, and food doesn't stick. Clean up is easy. It is the right size and weight for everyday use. I have small hands but can pick this up one-handed.
