LOOK FOR THE MAKER'S MARK
Yes! We have marked the first batch of these skillets with—you guessed it—a little farmhouse.
Due to the hand-forged nature of our carbon steel cookware and with each piece being slightly unique, we do not have a custom fitting lid for our Little Farmhouse skillet.

It’s not always the case that beautiful object's can be highly functional as well. This skillet is superbly designed and crafted by hand and it delivers as one of the most functional pieces in my kitchen. I use it every morning for breakfast as well as dinner to pan sear fish, filet mignon etc. It’s a joy to use and clean up is effortless. I like it so much I purchased the larger, deep style version. They’re all keepers and used daily.
Functional and sturdy. Look at the Smithey Farmhouse. It's beautiful. Then came the Deep Farmhouse. Beautiful without the iconic helper handle. Then comes the Little Farmhouse. Disappointed on opening the box. The iconic Smithey Carbon Steel hammering is barely there now. No helper handle, and NO Smithey hallmark on the face up. They removed the Farmhouse handle on this. It looks a lot like the De Buyer carbon steel skillet, except De Buyer added their name to the handle. So they did a great job on the engraving, but had I not gotten the engraving I would have sent this back. It just don't look Smithey. So I sent an inquiry to customer service. They called me the next day. I was told no, no, no and no. No I cannot get a Quail logo added to the handle. No I cannot send it back because I chose engraving (OK that's fair), no they will not hammer it well like the Farmhouse if I send it back, and no they can't really say how long the Farmhouse makers mark on the bottom will be used. Said possibly a year but now they are thinking maybe using different logos each year. Nothing certain, vague on that. Smithey as the description states on their web page it is believed it will become a collectors item one day. They should say how long it will be used. People see that and may rush to buy to get that makers mark. A description on their new Paella pan says it has evolved the Party Pan <(beautiful craftsmanship in the hammering) to a smooth finish that is easier on the Blacksmith's…
Very happy
It looks just as good as I'd hoped it would. I use it for omelettes about 5 times a week, but it's also pretty much exactly one pounded flat chicken breast in diameter, making it really useful for quick weeknight meals, too.
