Dear Smithey,
I hope you know how special your works of art are . . . my Carbon Steel Farmhouse Skillet exceeded my already high expectations.
I know most cast iron pans are named "skillets" as a category. Yet, my Smithey C.S. "skillet" has low sloping sides like a chef's fry pan. Most skillets have straight-angled-upward sides, sometimes several inches high. I think naming your rustic, handmade, bronze-y, artisan masterpiece a "chef's fry pan" could only enhance its culinary stature.
The weight and heft of my C.S. fry pan is impressive. Not quite as heavy as cast iron or enameled cast iron, yet certainly more than stainless steel and aluminum or copper clad pans.
The logo stamp at the end of the perfectly-shaped handle is classy. I was delighted to see my name engraved, as I requested, on the bottom-side of the pan!
In fact, the entire pan, every square inch, every hammer-strike imprint, every curve is perfectly executed.
I have a large collection of beautiful, world-class cookware and bakeware, and this is my first carbon steel piece. I'm proud to use my Smithey Carbon Steel Rustic Fry Pan every day and leave it out in the open for every visitor to admire.
Thank you very much for making my home and kitchen more beautiful. And, for bringing me a little more joy when cooking.
