New favorite

I love this skillet on looks alone, but it’s not just good looking, it’s great to work with, it responds to heat adjustments much faster than cast, there are times when that is important. I find myself using it even when that isn’t needed. I have bought Smithey cast now too, love them all!

Great pan, handle get's surprisingly hot.

The bad:

- the handle can get really hot when cooking for extended periods of time over high heat (much hotter than all-clad pans or even my star-gazer cast iron pan).

- The copper-colored seasoning is starting to come off, which is to be expected I suppose, but it is a little surprising to have seasoning coming off of a steel pan after the first use. I'm also a bit curious as to what seasoning was used to yield the copper color.

The good:

- Looks beautiful

- Great size

- Easy to clean, smooth machined surface

- Relatively non-stick

- Becoming a go-to pan for cooking

Just Gorgeous

First, the obvious. This piece honestly doubles as art and skillet. The attention to detail is obvious, as is the supreme craftsmanship/quality.

Sear steaks, fry eggs over easy, or cook up some ground beef and beans in it… it all works and it works well.

This thing heats up in seconds (butter disappeared in under 60 seconds after turning in my gas range), however you can use it for a prolonged period of time without the need for a handle cover.

The only potential downside to this pan is the sheer weight, which is absolutely to be expected. This definitely is not a gift I’d send over to my gam-gam for the holidays. She’d likely break a hip trying to pull it out of the cupboard. A+++
