Was in the market for better cookware as the pots and pans me and my wife purchased upon moving into our first home were cheaply made and showed off their quality early into their lifespan. This is the first cast iron I've ever owned, and realistically the only piece of cookware I've used since I got it (unless I need to use the Dutch oven I bought, also from smithy). It's a game changer. Versatile with anything you need to throw in the skillet with the agility to toss it in the oven from the stovetop. Having the ability to put a personal engraving is an awesome touch too. As my first (and last skillet realistically) piece of cookware it really helps knowing I "own" it. Plus it helps me flex my chops at cookouts when my friends ask me where I got it.

We purchased the skillet around 3 months ago and we have nothing but good things to say! We ditched all of our old skillets and use this for practically everything! It is so easy to clean with a smooth finish, which is a HUGE bonus for us!
