No. 14 dual handle skillet
Beautiful pan
Yes! However, it is important that your burner be approximately as large as the underside of the No. 14 skillet to ensure even heat distribution (we recommend at least a 10" burner). If you're on a smaller stove, it is important to gradually bring your Smithey to temperature to ensure even heat distribution.
Yes, turn your No. 14 skillet into a braiser with our custom fit 14" glass lid.
We use 2-3 coats of pure grape seed oil to pre-season your Smithey with. Seasoning is applied by hand and there are no chemical coatings of any kind applied to your skillet.
Beautiful pan
I needed a pan without a handle for my salmon and steak cooking and this pan is PERFECT!
This is my 9th piece of Smithey cast iron/carbon steel. I love them all!!
I’ve never owned a cast iron pan; however, this skillet is great!. So far I’ve made stews, tacos, and a shepherds pie.
I use warm water and a silicone spatula for cleanup, and everything lifts right off. Then, dry it, coat it lightly with canola oil and heat it back up to season and ensure it’s dry.
The bronze looking finish does come off on the inside of the pan, but the oiled smooth metal surface looks amazing as well. I leave it on my stove because I love seeing it every time I walk by the kitchen.
As with all the products from this company, this pan is simply the very best you will be able to purchase if you enjoy cast iron cookware. It's also made in the USA.... If you don't shop from this company because of the price then I'm guessing you're not reading this review as someone that actually loves to cook and maybe a cheap Walmart set of pans is the better choice for your endeavors... But if you love to cook, and you love quality cast iron cookware, then just buy these pans.... I own versions of their carbon steel and their cast iron, both are exceptional. The end.
