We stand behind the quality of our cast iron and carbon steel cookware. If your cookware is defective, we’ll replace it. If your cookware fails you after honest and normal use, we’ll repair or replace it.
Do you have a lid that fits the Farmhouse skillet?
Due to the hand-forged nature of our carbon steel cookware and with each piece being slightly unique, we do not have a custom fitting lid for our Farmhouse skillet.
Does the leather sleeve fit the Farmhouse skillet?
We think that the handle of our Farmhouse skillet is too handsome to cover up with a sleeve, so we do not have a custom fit sleeve for this piece. We recommend using our full-grain leather or suede potholder however.
Will the handle get hot?
With any piece of carbon steel cookware heat will eventually make its way to the handle. However, more often than not if making a quick stir-fry or searing a piece of protein the handle will not get hot.

Overall Excellence
Everything about the pan is fantastic, the craftsmanship, weight, design, etc. The shallower depth are excellent for things such as flipping eggs, pancakes, grated has browns, and all the others where a shallower spatula angle is needed. However, it is plenty deep for cooking about 3 diced russet potatoes with peppers and onions, without spilling over the sides when stirring.
If they made matching pots, I would buy the whole set.

Love my Smithey Slillet
First time purchase of a Smithey product and couldn’t be any happier! Love the way it’s made and very heavy duty product. Have used for pan frying on stovetop and also searing and finishing in oven. Easy to clean and simple to keep it seasoned to be non stick. Now wanting to add more Smithey products next.
