We use 2-3 coats of pure grape seed oil to pre-season your Smithey with. Seasoning is applied by hand and there are no chemical coatings of any kind applied to your skillet.
Our standard size leather skillet sleeve is custom fit for your No. 12 skillet.

After thinking about, but never owning , a cast iron skillet I caved in and bought this. My initial concerns about keeping it seasoned, clean, and how best to use it gave way to wondering what made me wait so long!
This pan is already the only skillet I now use, making every dish, entree and meal cooked in it the most flavorful and EASY to cook. Temperature perfect , delicious crust to meat and chicken, sauces rich and flavorful. Instead of being bored with the same old recipes, I find myself thinking what was once old, is now new, and what was once complicated now seems simple! Love my Smithey!
