We stand behind the quality of our cast iron and carbon steel cookware. If your cookware is defective, we’ll replace it. If your cookware fails you after honest and normal use, we’ll repair or replace it.
Does the 10" glass lid fit this skillet?
No, due to the curved interior of the No. 10 Chef skillet our 10" glass lid is not a custom fit. Technically yes it will function as a lid, but it is not a tight custom fit.
What oil do you use to pre-season?
We use 2-3 coats of pure grape seed oil to pre-season your Smithey with. Seasoning is applied by hand and there are no chemical coatings of any kind applied to your skillet.
What is the purpose of the three holes on the helper handle of the skillet?
The three holes are a unique identifier that allows a Smithey to stand in a crowd. Reach for it on the range!

The worlds greatest omelette pan! I will be replacing everything in my kitchen that Smithey makes a version of. I have used a lot of cast iron over the years in my fire station, and this is on another level. Well worth the investment.

Very nice pan. Seasoning is a little bit of a pain. Fried eggs and wanted to stick a little. Will contue to season. Hopefully it comes around

Excellent Non Stick Skillet
I’ve used it a couple of times for making Johnny cakes and they don’t stick. My other cast iron skillet no so much. I am very pleased with this item.
