Like all Smithey skillets, the interior features our signature polished finish, which, when seasoned, is naturally non-stick and easy to clean. Use it well!

Although not as deep as I hoped, I love the skillet and the glass lid is perfect so you can monitor the doneness of food. The inside surface is pretty well seasoned and very smooth. It might need more seasoning before using it as a nonstick pan for things like fried eggs.

5 Stars just aren't enough

The No 11 skillet was my second piece of Smithey. I started with the 8" and was so happy with the quality that I purchased the deep skillet which did not disappoint.... that led to purchasing the small dutch oven. I've been cooking with different brands of cast iron for decades - this is by far the best quality I've used. My only regret is that I didn't find Smithey a long time ago. Highly recommend, superior quality and amazing customer service.
