This pan is fantastic. The weight is perfect, it came out of the box seasoned with a very smooth surface. It took about 5 uses to really create the perfect seasoning where it is as close to non-stick as it could possibly be. I was a little concerned with my first egg, but like I said, 5 uses and it was spot on. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because 1- they don’t offer a lid for it, and more importantly 2- I honestly feel that a cast iron pan of this caliber/price point, knowing that inherently the handle gets danger hot, it should include a handle cover/insulator because, as all cast iron, the handle gets incredibly hot when cooking. I had to buy a silicone one from Amazon that doesn’t quite fit, but does the job. All in all, if you’d ask me if I would buy it again, yes. 100% I would buy it again and again. I fully recommend it. But comeon, Smithey - include handle sleeves. Why be almost perfect when you can actually be perfect.

LOVE LOVE my new skillet!! I was not sure about the "nonstick" of this pan, but it sure does impress. A little bit of butter and my eggs are perfect, cleanup is a breeze. Thank you for making a product that will be a staple in our kitchen.
