Truly an excellent product!!! My favorite pans to cook
No, we do not currently have a lid for our No. 8 Chef skillet.
We use 2-3 coats of pure grape seed oil to pre-season your Smithey with. Seasoning is applied by hand and there are no chemical coatings of any kind applied to your skillet.
Our extended length leather skillet sleeve is custom fit for your No. 8 skillet.

I use the skillet for eggs mostly. I have followed your advice on seasoning and usually reseason every three to four cooks. I use an avocado oil lightly in the pan, then smoke it over a high gas heat. Once it’s smoking, I shut off ther heat and recoat with oil. Once it’s cooled, I may wipe any excess lightly away. What advice do you have for improving this technique?
I really like the weight of the pan and how evenly it heats. I cook scrambled eggs on medium to low heat and take the pan of the heat to keep the eggs from sticking. I may do this a couple of time for no more than 20-30 seconds. I generally have to use a plastic scraper (a lodge one since I have several of their pans.pots.

Not non-stick at all. I've seasoned it twice in addition to the supposed pre-seasoning it came with. Still sticks. Can't cook eggs worth a damn, which is specifically what I bought this pan for. If I could, I would return it, but alas, no returns if you've used the pan...ironic, of course, since you won't know how bad this pan is until you use it. Would not recommend at all.
