I’m limited to induction cooktops where I cook. The first thing I noticed was how quickly it heats up. When I visited the store in Charleston SC I was able to talk to team that actually made it. They noted they season it and told me exactly how to maintain the seasoning. The Smithey team also said to call for any of my questions. Beautiful customer experience. So far I have made vegetable fried rice, shaken beef, sweet and sour chicken, and beef and broccoli. I absolutely love the way my scrambled eggs on the fried rice just easily slipped out of the wok. Perfect. But what I experienced was how quickly it heated up. I learned to adjust my induction temp down because of the even heat distribution. I get more wok hei effects using induction than any other wok I used. That’s why it’s my favorite. It’s just how they make it, with the thin but strong metal bowl. That’s why the great heating. I also love the handle as it makes it very easy to use. And at 3.5 pounds it is very manageable. Perfect for me and super yummy food.
