NO CHEMICAL COATINGS

Unlike many non-stick pans, every piece of Smithey cast iron is completely free of PFOA, PFAS, and PTFE. Instead, we pre-season our cookware with pure grapeseed oil, building a naturally nonstick surface that only gets better with use.

EASY TO CLEAN

Cast iron gets a bad rap for being hard to clean. We’re here to bust that myth and let you know that polished cast iron is easy to clean. Unlike rough cast iron, which allows food to get stuck in the crevices, polished cast iron like Smithey has a smooth surface that practically wipes clean. We stand behind the quality of our cast iron and carbon steel cookware. If your cookware is defective, we’ll replace it. If your cookware fails you after honest and normal use, we’ll repair or replace it.

Does the 10" glass lid fit this skillet?

No, due to the curved interior of the No. 10 Chef skillet our 10" glass lid is not a custom fit. Technically yes it will function as a lid, but it is not a tight custom fit.

What oil do you use to pre-season?

We use 2-3 coats of pure grape seed oil to pre-season your Smithey with. Seasoning is applied by hand and there are no chemical coatings of any kind applied to your skillet.

What is the purpose of the three holes on the helper handle of the skillet?

The three holes are a unique identifier that allows a Smithey to stand in a crowd. Reach for it on the range!

Cast iron makes cooking a joy....

Cooking on cast iron is a treat and a thrill, I have abandoned all older cookware and focused strictly on

C A ( Cast iron ). While some look at a Seasoned CA as something overly used and still dirty. While others feel that way, an experienced chef or simply a home chef with a taste for good cookware knows th e difference . A well seasoned pan can quickly win over the most stubborn chef in short order. Take the test, purchase one and find out for yourself, you will be surprised ! Enjoy cooking like I do........

Beautiful Pan

Should have bought the set

We’ve been looking for a substitute for our Teflon pans for sometime and decided to give the Smithy 10 inch a try even though it was a bit out of our price range. All I can say is after using it for a week for everything from eggs to steaks I wish I had bought the three pan set
