We stand behind the quality of our cast iron and carbon steel cookware. If your cookware is defective, we’ll replace it. If your cookware fails you after honest and normal use, we’ll repair or replace it.
Do you have a lid that fits the No. 8 Chef Skillet?
No, we do not currently have a lid for our No. 8 Chef skillet.
What oil do you use to pre-season with?
We use 2-3 coats of pure grape seed oil to pre-season your Smithey with. Seasoning is applied by hand and there are no chemical coatings of any kind applied to your skillet.
What size sleeve fits the No. 8 Chef Skillet?

Perfect fried egg skillet
I purchased the 8" primarily to fry eggs. It is so much better than the non stick junk I was using. The eggs cook better, look better, and taste better. You better have it over your plate when you tilt the skillet cause that egg is coming out in a hurry. I just wish they offered a lid for the 8" cause a lid is necessary to get the top of the egg done and I can't find one that fits.
