Unlike many non-stick pans, every piece of Smithey cast iron is completely free of PFOA, PFAS, and PTFE. Instead, we pre-season our cookware with pure grapeseed oil, building a naturally nonstick surface that only gets better with use.

Best cast iron skillet I’ve used

I am a huge fan and extensive user of cast iron for cooking. The Smithey No 12 Skillet is the best cast iron skillet I’ve ever used.

I actually own a couple of generations old skillets, I have a few bought over the past few years and none of them are as nonstick or cook as well as the Smithey.

I once heard a famous chef say “The most important part of any dish, is cooking it in a high quality vessel” and I believe Smithey to be a perfect example of that!

Smithed 12 skillet

Five cooks in and super impressed with this skillet. I’ve cooked on cast iron for years but this is the type of experience I’ve always searched for. Huge difference between these smooth pans and others. More impressed every day, already looking for a second one.

Impressed

Wasn’t sure what to expect from this cast-iron pan, yes it’s expensive $$, and I was apprehensive. Well…I am very impressed with it, it’s well-made, heavy; which means quality, and it cooks food perfectly, also fun to use. It’s worth the money, and I highly recommend it.
