The best skillet I have ever used!!!!
The three holes are a unique identifier that allows a Smithey to stand in a crowd. Reach for it on the range!
We use 2-3 coats of pure grape seed oil to pre-season your Smithey with. Seasoning is applied by hand and there are no chemical coatings of any kind applied to your skillet.
Our standard size leather skillet sleeve is custom fit for your No. 12 skillet.

I have 5 different types of cast iron. All from China. All the same crappy iron.
The quality of this product is impressive. The handle is the right length and width to be able to easily hold up the pan with one hand (for me). But the little "stub" on the opposite end of the handle it works great as a counter to the handle. It's big enough to grab and pick up with the pan is full of food.
The iron work is spectacular. I'm a software engineer so I know nothing about this, but I do have a family member that works with steel and iron and saw this and was very impressed.
But the other thing I love about this is the even cooking surface. It's very very good.
Overall guys, as a person that was raised by two chefs (Master Chef Grandfather and Chef father) this is the best cast iron pan I have ever purchased outside of the ones we had at the restaurant that were made in the 30's and 40's .
I have been using very old griswolds for a long time but needed something larger. These are the closest I could find to the griswold quality. We use it daily and are very happy.
Lovin my new Smithey. Waited to long before finally making the purchase. Found a dealer in my area and plan to visit soon.
Delivery was quick. Great product. Didn't need to season it really. Rubbed some oil on it. Heated on the gas stove. Then turned heat down and fried an egg on it. Didn't stick.
