So Long Summer
A big hello from the team at Smithey Ironware. In a sign that fall is near, the Lowcountry’s humidity is receding, college football is the chatter around the watercooler, and our team at Smithey is settling into a new tempo. A rhythm where the travel, the meals and experiences of summer are becoming memories and the fare of autumn and winter come into focus.
Our team seems to have celebrated this summer. Adventures include whale watching on the Olympic Peninsula, family reunions to Ireland, camping with indigenous tribes in Bolivia, rafting the Pigeon Forge River, and kayaking the pristine waters of Devil’s Lake in Wisconsin. All of this fun was accompanied by a congregation of Smithey meals that ranged from butternut squash risotto to cheese scallion scones, to salteñas empanadas, to strawberry galette to hot dogs. We traveled, we dined, and we made a few memories in our Smitheys.
We share this with you, our customers, because you inspire our work. Like you, we love to cook and appreciate the tools that make that experience more enjoyable. We hope you made many lasting memories with your Smithey, and that along with the team here at Smithey, you will make many more in the coming seasons.
Cheers to you!
