We use 2-3 coats of pure grape seed oil to pre-season your Smithey with. Seasoning is applied by hand and there are no chemical coatings of any kind applied to your skillet.
Our standard size leather skillet sleeve is custom fit for your No. 12 skillet.

The use of the skillet is multi faceted. I use it on the stove top to fry up bacon and eggs for breakfast to searing steaks. It is marvelous in the oven with a medium to small roast and so much more. Cleanup is also a breeze.
I’ve had my skillet for about a month now, and have quickly learned how to season and clean it properly. I was doubtful at first if I’d really like it, but fixed bacon and sausage in it a few times before I tried frying eggs in it. They were perfect. Have made grilled cheese and French toast—successful! Just follow cleaning and seasoning directions!!
