We use 2-3 coats of pure grape seed oil to pre-season your Smithey with. Seasoning is applied by hand and there are no chemical coatings of any kind applied to your skillet.
Our standard size leather skillet sleeve is custom fit for your No. 10 skillet.

It was everything I expected. I love cast iron. I have a Wagner skillet I’ve had almost 60 years. Also have several Lodge skillets and Dutch ovens. I love them all, but the Smithy cast iron takes it to another level. Very well done.

Nicely crafted skillet. The density of the cast iron in comparison to the "value brands" provides a superior surface finish, much smoother than the others I own. Pricey product but worth it. Used it a few times on the stove top and in the oven with good results. Clean up is easier too compared to the porous surface of the cheaper imports. Hats off to all you folks making a quality cooking tool in the U.S. The opportunity to support skilled American workers and buying a fine example of thier craftsmanship is very much appreciated. Keep up the good work!
