Like cast iron, these sleeves get better with time and use.
No, our sleeves are not sized to fit our carbon steel cookware.
We do not recommend placing your leather sleeve in the oven. As leather is a natural material, it can burn.
The extended length leather sleeve is the perfect accessory for the #12 pan. Its absolutely essential for a cast iron skillet, and its a functional, and very elegant touch to a beautiful piece of cookware!
The sleeve is a convenient addition and works as intended.
The whole purpose for having a sleeve on the handle of a cast iron pan is to be able to not have to touch the pan. Maybe it needs a break in period, but it's too tight to get on or off the pan without holding the pan in place.
