Deep Farmhouse Skillet

This skillet is the answer to dreams I never knew I had! I’m older, so I have a lifetime of cookware experiences to compare to this skillet. All I can say is that all I ever needed was the Farmhouse Skillet and some videos on how to use it and care for it.

When I think of the stuck food, burned things, sear-less steaks, multiple stainless steel purchases, many non-stick iterations- this pan is one and done. I followed instructions and it is the most non-stick pan I ever had, it’s like the eggs are on roller skates.

(I heat the pan slowly until water balls scatter like mercury, add oil until it shimmers, add butter until large bubbles turn small.)

I look forward to using this pan several times a day. I got the slotted spatula and it’s a pleasure to use. Cleanup is a breeze for me. I find folded flour sack dish towels are great for drying without lint. I bought the chainmail, but only needed it once.

Every young couple needs this. It will last their whole lives if cared for. Everyone who cooks needs this at the earliest possible so they can use it every time they cook. It will save a lot of money on short-term skillets. No dangerous chemicals. Safe on gas, electric, induction.

Did I mention how beautiful it looks? It’s an art piece.

I already owned a few skillets, but I was looking for something a little more responsive to heat, and this skillet has been exactly that. Since it arrived, I’ve found myself reaching for it every day.

It heats quickly and evenly, feels great to cook with, and has become my go-to pan for just about everything. Beyond its performance, it has made cooking more enjoyable and helped me appreciate the process even more.

It’s clear that a lot of care went into both the design and craftsmanship. I’m looking forward to using this skillet for many years to come.

AWSOME skillets and carbon steel pans !! Every Smithey I add to my collection becomes my next favorite pan ! The cast Iron skillets you make are as good as my three family Iron skillets that have been in use non stop since they were purchased by my Great Grandparents, in the 1880's. It's kind of like eating peanuts, you just keep reaching for more of them ! Thank's for the quality !

Love this skillet. Great to cook with and looks fabulous on my countertop. Lost the initial seasoning first use, but it’s building back. No complaints.
