Unlike many non-stick pans, every piece of Smithey cast iron is completely free of PFOA, PFAS, and PTFE. Instead, we pre-season our cookware with pure grapeseed oil, building a naturally nonstick surface that only gets better with use.

FAQ’s:

We stand behind the quality of our cast iron and carbon steel cookware. If your cookware is defective, we’ll replace it. If your cookware fails you after honest and normal use, we’ll repair or replace it.

Can I use the No. 14 skillet on my glass top or induction stove?

Yes! However, it is important that your burner be approximately as large as the underside of the No. 14 skillet to ensure even heat distribution (we recommend at least a 10" burner). If you're on a smaller stove, it is important to gradually bring your Smithey to temperature to ensure even heat distribution.

What size sleeve fits my No. 14 skillet?

Our standard size leather skillet sleeve is custom fit for your No. 14 skillet.

What is the purpose of the three holes on the helper handle of the skillet?

The three holes are a unique identifier that allows a Smithey to stand in a crowd. Reach for it on the range!

My new favorite skillet

I bought this because I have a large family to cook for. The 14" size has a lot of room for a big meal. I've already cooked several types of meals including a pan pizza.

This pan seasons well, cleans up well, and has good even cooking.

Great for everything!

Beautiful to behold. Heavy and durable. I’ve fried bacon in it, made smash burgers, baked 2 whole chickens (not together), and deep fried chicken tenders in it so far. I have a #12 skillet and griddle, and a #8 but this is my favorite by far.

Thought it was non stick but everything I cook in it sticks to the pan.

Big pan I like that part but find everything I cook in it sticks and heat isn’t the same thru out the bottom of skillet
