Introducing the Little Farmhouse Skillet by Smithey. Featuring our distinct combination of beauty and performance, the Little Farmhouse Skillet is designed to be a daily workhorse for frying eggs, searing single proteins, or sautéing sides of vegetables. This little skillet also works as an exceptional sidekick to its Farmhouse family members, allowing you to finish a dish with ease—think special sauces, fried shallots, toasted pecans, and more. As with the rest of our carbon steel line, each Little Farmhouse is hand-forged by artisan blacksmiths in Charleston, South Carolina and is designed for a lifetime of use.

To celebrate the launch of this new skillet, and to honor the blacksmiths behind it, the first run of Little Farmhouse skillets will include a unique little farmhouse “maker’s mark”. Just like an artist who signs their work, this mark will be hand-stamped on the underside of the skillet by the blacksmith who has crafted your cookware. Look closely to find your maker’s mark – we expect these first batch skillets to become collector’s items!

We stand behind the quality of our cast iron and carbon steel cookware. If your cookware is defective, we’ll replace it. If your cookware fails you after honest and normal use, we’ll repair or replace it.

Is the maker's mark a house?

Yes! We have marked the first batch of these skillets with—you guessed it—a little farmhouse.

Do you have a lid that fits the Little Farmhouse skillet?

Due to the hand-forged nature of our carbon steel cookware and with each piece being slightly unique, we do not have a custom fitting lid for our Little Farmhouse skillet.

Little farmhouse skillet

Gift for mum— she loves how it cooks the food. Only comment was it’s heavy. I told her that’s why I got the carbon steel instead of cast iron. Plus, she got a slotted spoon and likes that as well.

Smithy Carbon Steel Skillet

Firstly, this little farmhouse skillet is beautiful. Obviously handcrafted. After receiving I gave it a seasoning even though it came seasoned. Even though I own professional grade, high end cookware, this skillet has become a favorite and gets frequent use.

Many delicate eggs have been cooked in this pan flawlessly without sticking. It’s beyond any “non stick” pan I’ve ever used.

I am now completely PTFE/PFA free !
