FAQ’s:
Deep Farmhouse Skillet

We stand behind the quality of our cast iron and carbon steel cookware. If your cookware is defective, we’ll replace it. If your cookware fails you after honest and normal use, we’ll repair or replace it.

Do you have a lid that fits the Deep Farmhouse skillet?

Due to the hand-forged nature of our carbon steel cookware and with each piece being slightly unique, we do not have a custom fitting lid for our Deep Farmhouse skillet.

Does the leather sleeve fit the Deep Farmhouse skillet?

We think that the handle of our Deep Farmhouse skillet is too handsome to cover up with a sleeve, so we do not have a custom fit sleeve for this piece. We recommend using our full-grain leather or suede potholder however.

Will the handle get hot?

With any piece of carbon steel cookware heat will eventually make its way to the handle. However, more often than not if making a quick stir-fry or searing a piece of protein the handle will not get hot.

Fantastic

I really enjoy using this skillet it’s super nice and rustic. The more I cook with it the better it gets it’s heavy and really like the handle it’s pricey but I have no regrets and will be buying another.

a must in every kitchen

i had been using teflon for many year and got tired of replacing them. buying the deep farmhouse skillet was the best decision. it is initially a little bit more expensive, but it pays off in the long run. the skillet has a wonderful design, is easy to use and non-sticky. i use it everyday for my meals

Exquisite Craftsmanship

This was a splurge for my kitchen collection, which is mainly French Cookware. I am so thrilled with my first purchase! I have used it almost daily because I love having it on my stove. It cooks perfectly and clean up and reseasoning is simple. I have told everyone how much I love this product, and will get more from Smithey soon. Highest recommendation possible!
