Yes! However, for best results, ensure your burner is at least 10" in diameter to promote even heat distribution. If using a smaller burner, gradually bring your Smithey up to temperature to avoid hot spots.
We use 2-3 coats of pure grape seed oil to pre-season your Smithey with. Seasoning is applied by hand and there are no chemical coatings of any kind applied to your skillet.

Beautiful heirloom skillet!
I have seen advertisements on PBS channels many times and this year I presented myself an early gift. I have been using this skillet almost every day since it arrived. It is going through many color changes but I love cooking with it and showing it off. I think my son in law wants me to put it in my will that it belongs to him when I am no longer cooking for the family. 😊

This cast iron is worth every penny! I read some reviews that said it was no better than a lodge. People: hear me out….its 1000 times better than Lodge. Another review complained about the flat smooth surface being hard to season and she did some vinegar mix to etch the pan. What on earth??? Never do that! If you know how to cook with cast iron, this bad boy will not disappoint. I tried it out with a ribeye pan seared with beef tallow. Cooked to perfection. The beautiful factory finish does disappear after the first use but that ok. I plan on this being a family heirloom. I’m going to add it to my living trust lol. Buy it today!!!!
