Simply spectacular
I have used cast iron for many years, and took great pride in my well-seasoned inexpensive mass-produced pans. I've always wanted to find an antique smooth pan to recondition, but alas, have not been so lucky. When I heard about Smithey from ATK, I was immediately interested, but it took a while before I made the decision to invest. I am so pleased with this pan! It functions so well we catch ourselves forgetting it isn't a non-stick that we have to use the silicone tools with. I use it every morning to make an egg and veggie saute. It cleans up easily with either just a swipe of a paper towel while warm, or water and a dish wand with a tad of soap if it's a little gunkier. The rounded chef skillet design is ideal for eggs. I'm sure I don't have to apologize to anyone on this website for being a total dork about my pans, but I absolutely love this and will treasure it.
