Why this tool?
Handcrafted and branded with the Smithey logo over high-grade oil-tanned leather, this skillet sleeve is one of our favorite tools. Available in two sizes, the standard-fit slides perfectly over the handle of our Traditional Cast Iron Skillets while the extended fit is designed to give more protection to the handles on our Chef Skillets and the No. 11 Deep Skillet. Like cast iron, these sleeves get better with time and use.

Do the sleeves fit your carbon steel cookware?
No, our sleeves are not sized to fit our carbon steel cookware.
Can I use your sleeve on other brands of cookware?
While we can't guarantee fit on other brands of cookware, our standard length leather sleeve fits most other traditional cast iron skillet brands.
Can I place the sleeve in the oven?
We do not recommend placing your leather sleeve in the oven. As leather is a natural material, it can burn.

Looks nice.
Looks nice, but the seam placement is very uncomfortable for right handed folks. Smithey responded by saying that I could flip it over. Yes, but I would lose the insignia and the expansion slit spreads and is more slippery. They mentioned that it would wear in with time. I’m hoping for that. As of yet the discomfort persists.

Best Ever!
Love my Smithey #11 frying pan and love it more with the Leather Skillet Sleeve. Saw my daughter's frying pan and just had to have one too. Sent her the Leather Sleeve and she is in heaven too.
