My husband used wok to make
His famous Hoisin chicken.
Due to the hand-forged nature of our carbon steel cookware and with each piece being slightly unique, we do not have a custom fitting lid for our wok.
With any piece of carbon steel cookware heat will eventually make its way to the handle. However, more often than not if making a quick stir-fry or searing a piece of protein the handle will not get hot.
We think that the handle of our wok is too handsome to cover up with a sleeve, so we do not have a custom fit sleeve for this piece. We recommend using our full-grain leather or suede potholder however.

The wok takes a little to get used to, it is such a great pan to cook in. I have a cast iron pan as well, which I also love. They are so beautiful just out of the box. Great for stove top and oven(cast iron). I have only used the wok on the stove. Smithy is the best quality and option for healthy cooking. I would highly recommend!
The handle feels awkward. The wok heats up very fast and is easy to cook with. I think I would prefer a slightly larger loop handle on each side rather than the overly long handle on one side and the small loop handle opposite.
This has got to be, hands down, the best hammered carbon steel wok I have ever used. Light weight and even heating make stir fry a breeze!
