No, we do not currently have a lid for our No. 8 Chef skillet.
We use 2-3 coats of pure grape seed oil to pre-season your Smithey with. Seasoning is applied by hand and there are no chemical coatings of any kind applied to your skillet.
Our extended length leather skillet sleeve is custom fit for your No. 8 skillet.

I seasoned it upon receipt. The first thing I attempted to cook were scrambled eggs. I tough task that only fared "ok" at best.
I scrubbed the pan well and will do my normal oven seasoning before using it again.
My goal is to stop using "non-stick" pans. If this improves, I will consider a larger pan but only if I see a marked improvement.
Btw. I'm a formerly trained chef and use my grandmothers cast iron pan throughout the year.
Love cookware. Cook breakfast in it every morning. Can’t wait to get more!!
Seems to be working just fine. I want to try it a bit longer before I purchase it's big brother
