Love the No 12 Flat Top Griddle!! I cooked cheese burgers and grilled onions for the first cook on it. The burgers turned out juicy.
A very practical tool in my kitchen arsenal, while it's a bit heavy, this pan heats evenly and retains heat for quite a while. It gets used for large pork chops ,cowboy steaks, eggs and pancakes. I have yet to season it again and use it on both BBQ and electric stove top with no issues. A great product made in the USA.
I bought my dad No. 10 pan, and mentioned the availability of the No. 12 Flat Top Griddle. Of course, he wanted that, too!
He hasn't had a chance to use it, yet. But, based on his love for his first acquisition, I suspect he'll love his flat griddle, too.
Tried it out on the grill. Cooking bacon it was very impressive.

Near as I can tell, it might (or maybe not) be the seasoning spray was a little messed up which made it a second, but honestly, it makes no difference. It cooks just as well as being a first. Smithey factory seconds look just as good as firsts and for the added savings, living with a little messed up spray is no problem at all. After a few uses it doesn't make any difference, and you'd never know anyway. Being able to build my Smithey collection at a considerable savings is completely worth it. Love my new flat top griddle!!
