What can I say, this is my 4th Smithy! I’m slowly replacing all my cast iron with Smithy! They have the absolute best cooking surfaces and clean up beautifully!

Yes! However, for best results, ensure your burner is at least 10" in diameter to promote even heat distribution. If using a smaller burner, gradually bring your Smithey up to temperature to avoid hot spots.
We use 2-3 coats of pure grape seed oil to pre-season your Smithey with. Seasoning is applied by hand and there are no chemical coatings of any kind applied to your skillet.

Bought it for our son. He loves it. He said it is not only beautiful but a dream to use and clean.
Just our hard the 12” no handle to add to my list of Smithey cast irons I use.
It’s made my 12” with handle redundant. No more worrying about the handle being a hazard when in the range, no more having to position the handle so that it’s not in the way or at risk of being bumped.
It fits on the table for service, storage is easier and using two hands to handle it makes it easier given the weight.

I have been home from my trip to Charleston SC for a week. My new skillet was here waiting for me when I returned home. It was beautifully packaged, and arrived safely. After a quick was I started cooking with it immediately, very nice, completely non-stick, and excellent heat retention. I have cooked every meal for the pack week in my new skillet, everything including bread and corn bread, multiple chicken and fish dishes, amazing steaks and burgers, eggs-bacon and sausage, everything beautifully nonstick and nicely finished. The seasoning is starting to blacked and is very smooth and resilient. Loving it and an excellent addition to my griswold collection.
