Done all of the seasoning processes and food still sticking
No, we do not currently have a lid for our No. 8 Chef skillet.
We use 2-3 coats of pure grape seed oil to pre-season your Smithey with. Seasoning is applied by hand and there are no chemical coatings of any kind applied to your skillet.
Our extended length leather skillet sleeve is custom fit for your No. 8 skillet.

like this little skillet but was really disappointed when I opened the box and saw how small it was. A smithey 8 is not the same as other manufacturers 8. I also bought a friend one as a house warming gift and hopefully they won't feel the same as I did. Pan is good for eggs but not much else to be honest. I have other pans I can cook an egg in so it's really a waste of $120 or $240 if you buy 2 like I did. It cooks great and eggs don't stick but wish I had gotten the bigger skillet
Good size pan but it’s been two weeks and it still sticks to my eggs.

We like that the pan was pre-seasoned and ready to use right out of the box. The pan works as advertised in that it heats like a cast iron pan but the machined surface works almost like a non stick pan. Food is easy to remove from the pan and the pan is easily cleaned with a damp paper towel and no scrubbing with salt is necessary like a traditional cast iron pan. Finally, we like the idea that soap can be used if needed, but so far, we have not needed to use soap.
