We stand behind the quality of our cast iron and carbon steel cookware. If your cookware is defective, we’ll replace it. If your cookware fails you after honest and normal use, we’ll repair or replace it.
What lid options are available for the No. 12 Dual Handle Skillet?
We offer a custom-fit 12" glass lid designed specifically for this skillet. Additionally, the No. 12 Flat Top Griddle can be used as a lid, making it a versatile option for your kitchen.
Can I use the No. 12 Dual Handle skillet on my glass top or induction stove?
Yes! However, for best results, ensure your burner is at least 10" in diameter to promote even heat distribution. If using a smaller burner, gradually bring your Smithey up to temperature to avoid hot spots.
What oil do you use to pre-season with?
We use 2-3 coats of pure grape seed oil to pre-season your Smithey with. Seasoning is applied by hand and there are no chemical coatings of any kind applied to your skillet.
