No. 12 dual handle skillet
Love it!!
We offer a custom-fit 12" glass lid designed specifically for this skillet. Additionally, the No. 12 Flat Top Griddle can be used as a lid, making it a versatile option for your kitchen.
Yes! However, for best results, ensure your burner is at least 10" in diameter to promote even heat distribution. If using a smaller burner, gradually bring your Smithey up to temperature to avoid hot spots.
We use 2-3 coats of pure grape seed oil to pre-season your Smithey with. Seasoning is applied by hand and there are no chemical coatings of any kind applied to your skillet.
Love it!!
Made the decision to buy a smithy. What was i waiting for? Just do it. I enjoy cooking with this pan and thinking about another. It is worth the money it will last for generations
The quality just jumps out
I arrived home one day to seventeen packages and noticed that one was from Smithey. I went straight for the that box first. That’s when the magic began. I had high hopes from all the amazing reviews, but I was not prepared for the beauty I was about to behold: the skillet is a piece of art—it has not left my stove top since I unboxed it!
My first chore was to sauté wild mushrooms in duck fat. I’d been using Caraway cookware for a time, and while it’s good, I cannot get a hard sear on anything. Bring in the Smithey 12 “ dual-handled skillet: my mushrooms came out the most enticing, mouth-watering golden chestnut brown and were FULL of that amazing flavor that comes only from a Maillard reaction. Next was zucchini, summer squash, and candy onions—again, beautifully caramelized and full of flavor.
The skillet cleaned-up with a drop of Dawn dish soap and a sponge—no chainmail required this time. It has quickly become my favorite piece of cookware and thus begins my Smithey collection—I want it all!
If you’re on the fence, JUMP! You will not regret the decision. This is as close to perfection as cookware comes. Bon Appétit!
It’s lovely. Served seared ahi last night.
