Available in two sizes, the standard-fit slides perfectly over the handle of our Traditional Cast Iron Skillets while the extended fit is designed to give more protection to the handles on our Chef Skillets and the No. 11 Deep Skillet. Like cast iron, these sleeves get better with time and use.

Do the sleeves fit your carbon steel cookware?
No, our sleeves are not sized to fit our carbon steel cookware.
Can I use your sleeve on other brands of cookware?
While we can't guarantee fit on other brands of cookware, our standard length leather sleeve fits most other traditional cast iron skillet brands.
Can I place the sleeve in the oven?
We do not recommend placing your leather sleeve in the oven. As leather is a natural material, it can burn.

A Must Have
Bought my first Smithey Chef Skillet and thought I’d go ahead and purchase a leather sleeve. I’m so so so glad I did. The sleeve not only protects my hand from burns, but also gives the skillet an even classier look. It’s very well made and definitely a must have!

So i had bought my wife a couple of the short leather handle sleeves with the original Smithey pots and pans I bought for her. She recently misplaced one, so i bought her a replacement along with ordering one of the longer handle sleeves. Yep, typical Smithey quality product. I'll wait for her to use it, and update after her review...
