As beautiful as it is functional, the hand-forged Farmhouse Skillet features performance that rivals cast iron at a lighter weight.
A genuine “farmhouse” skillet, inspired by American blacksmith design of the 18th and 19th century, the Smithey 12” carbon steel skillet is as much of a work of art as it is a cooking tool. Limited in nature and forged by hand, each Farmhouse skillet is crafted by an artisan blacksmith in Charleston, SC. Each piece is visually unique while sharing core design features such as a handle inspired by traditional fire tools and the signature Smithey 3-holed helper handle. With performance that rivals cast iron at a lighter weight, these skillets are designed to elevate your everyday cooking experience.

Due to the hand-forged nature of our carbon steel cookware and with each piece being slightly unique, we do not have a custom fitting lid for our Farmhouse skillet.
We think that the handle of our Farmhouse skillet is too handsome to cover up with a sleeve, so we do not have a custom fit sleeve for this piece. We recommend using our full-grain leather or suede potholder however.
With any piece of carbon steel cookware heat will eventually make its way to the handle. However, more often than not if making a quick stir-fry or searing a piece of protein the handle will not get hot.

This is my go to skillet for many recipes. So easy to clean and reuse. Love the handle shape and the polished finish
We love this skillet so much we gave one as a wedding gift and they have already sent us pictures of everything they have cooked in it so far! Ours seems to get better every time we cook in it!
Pure craftsmanship in iron!
I really enjoy this skillet I followed the first few cookings with what was your opinion. I am very pleased with the build and the non stick. Great job with it
