We stand behind the quality of our cast iron and carbon steel cookware. If your cookware is defective, we’ll replace it. If your cookware fails you after honest and normal use, we’ll repair or replace it.

Can I use the No. 14 skillet on my glass top or induction stove?

Yes! However, it is important that your burner be approximately as large as the underside of the No. 14 skillet to ensure even heat distribution (we recommend at least a 10" burner). If you're on a smaller stove, it is important to gradually bring your Smithey to temperature to ensure even heat distribution.

What size sleeve fits my No. 14 skillet?

Our standard size leather skillet sleeve is custom fit for your No. 14 skillet.

What is the purpose of the three holes on the helper handle of the skillet?

The three holes are a unique identifier that allows a Smithey to stand in a crowd. Reach for it on the range!

The Legendary No.14

Folks, I saw the TV commercials for Smithey's ironware a couple of months ago. I was immediately intrigued . It truly is an exquisite piece of cookware.

Now, to all the folks who expected the original cookware, and it is exquisite, I repeat, to retain its original finish, no, this is cast iron we're talking about. Cast iron takes on its own finish over the years. Use it. And season it. (FWIW I use Crisco to season my iron ware.)

So very glad I bought this skillet (and the No. 10)

Finally, customer service is through the roof!

I love the quality of the product is excellent i wish when I bought it they would have recommended the glass lid. With the other sizes when i was looking at them they showed and recommended the glass lid but I never saw where they had one for the 14” even though I searched. so I didn’t know they offered one until I wrote my initial review then it came up in shop as an option but now Im getting it later than I’d have liked plus now I have to pay $15 shipping I wouldn’t if had to pay had I got them at the same time. I do love that it has pour spouts on both sides most pans don’t have pour spouts.
