I wanted to get away from non coated skillets and dedicated to go with cast iron over stainless steel. I am so glad I did! These are now my everyday pans
No, we do not currently have a lid for our No. 8 Chef skillet.
We use 2-3 coats of pure grape seed oil to pre-season your Smithey with. Seasoning is applied by hand and there are no chemical coatings of any kind applied to your skillet.
Our extended length leather skillet sleeve is custom fit for your No. 8 skillet.

The 8” is the 3rd in my collection to the #12 and the 12” skillet. I don’t use them everyday but 2 to 3 times a week. Bragging to my friends about how easy to clean and great to cook in. Love the whole concept of the company
I like the weight... I have only used it a few times and see the color change happening... My hope is it will darken over time. The workmanship is nice.
When over easy eggs literally do stick on first use; no review required. Immediate Praise rendered for exceptional craftsmanship!!
Bravo Zulu for a job well done!!
@Drew Cooks. One day we will me and have to throw down my brother. Had to take a break from Drew, spending too damn much!!!
From time to time I would have three larger skillets cooking at the same time on the stove top. One of them would be used for nothing more than to fry up a few breakfast sausages or a couple pieces of bacon. This arrangement really cramped the space. I purchased the smaller no 8 chef skillet to handle smaller items like sausages so that the larger skillets would be easier to deal with. The no 8 solved the inconvenient issue.
