My 5.5 quart Dutch Oven is too big for everyday use. I've used this several times since receiving it a month ago. Makes enough for two with next day leftovers, instead of having leftovers for a week. I've made potato soup first, next chili, then clam chowder, roasted a whole head of cabbage and also cauliflower, no foil needed. Everything turned out tasting delicious and like a lifetime of experiences. Definitely will be used on a regular basis. My 5.5 QT is what I pull ot for a crowd. The handles are the perfect size for lifting out of the oven and the lid! The lid really is beautiful, and that nob is seriously the cherry on the cake, a chef's kiss.

My only negative is that the beautiful lid sould also fit on a skillet.

Gorgeous dutch oven. The 3.5 Qt is the perfect size, not too big, not too small. Favorite cast iron I've owned. Love it.

I'd been wanting a slightly smaller Dutch Oven , mostly for soups and stews for myself and my husband, and when my sister-in-law recommended Smithey, I ordered the 3 1/2 quart one. We've only used it twice, once for a chicken cacciatore, and then for a lentil soup with homemade chicken brother and porchetta, but we already know it's going to be a favorite. Both recipes turned out very well.
