After your Smithey cools a bit, you can use our potholder as a trivet. We don't recommend going directly from the stovetop or oven with your Smithey to the potholder as suede can burn!
Like any piece of suede leather, as you break this potholder in it will soften with time. Feel free to use a touch of suede conditioner to keep this potholder in tip-top shape.
I bought my wife one of the suede potholders thinking she'd love the softer texture, I know I did. But guess I was wrong, She prefers the smooth leather ones. Doh! I'll still use it though!
